Greetings to you, brothers and sisters in Christ!
We thank you in our hearts for your prayers and support for Heart For Orphans. We want to share news with you —
War and Orphans
We keep serving orphans so their lives can gain meaning and blessing through Jesus Christ. A. was born in Ukraine, close to the city named Donetsk. A big tragedy happened in his family – his father left them. His mother started drinking, then got paralyzed and died. His older sister became a drug addict and died at the age of 21. A. was sent to an orphanage when he was 9. His aunt sold the house where he lived with his mother, and then she disappeared. He became an orphan – no parents, no grandparents, and even his own aunt lied to him and left him with nothing. He graduated from the orphanage at the age of 15.
Then the war in Ukraine started – bombing, hunger, living on the streets – horrible times. When he turned 18, he decided to leave the war zone and go to Saint Petersburg. He found a job here, but then got offered drugs and fell again. Several years later, God led him to our church, where he gave his life to Him. He was lost but now he is found. A loving Heavenly Father adopted him. through Jesus Christ. Now we have a close communication with him, helping him to grow in his faith. He has a very low self-esteem, and he is a broken and hurt person in general.
A. helps Yan do remodeling, and he is able to learn life skills. It is also a great opportunity for us to pray with him and strengthen his faith. He has a big need – he has to recover his documents to apply for citizenship here, in Russia. In order to do this, he needs finances to make all needed documents and pay for his fines. Getting citizenship will provide him with all rights of a citizen and an ability to work. We see a great potential of a God’s servant, who can bring a lot of fruit for God’s kingdom in him.
- We would like to offer prayers for you too. Please, let us know how we can pray for you.
