Olga Goncharenko reports:
As I shared in my previous letter, after sharing some pictures at churches, we were able to place 12 orphans from Stankovo into Christian families from our church. It’s a true blessing for the kids and also somewhat challenging for the families. As we got in contact and talk on the phone and in person with many of the families, I had this idea of gathering all of them together, so that the kids could have fellowship and families could talk to each other.
It was a sunny Sunday and we had a picnic near our house. Our friend Eve from TE was here to participate, and she brought gifts for the kids and families. There were about 50 people here. We started with prayer and had a lot of food such as homemade hamburgers and hotdogs, a lot of fruits and even a cake, that was made by a mom from Timothy home. Our Minsk Family home girls prepared outside games with balloons and kept the kids busy and happy.
We hope that it was an encouragement to the families and a great beginning of the long-term relationships between the families and the orphans.
1. In August we officially begin Timothy home. Please pray for the great start. We are so thankful to all of you for your prayers and support and so excited to see it happening
2. Minsk Family home girls did a great job helping at camp and not only that, but Nastya got accepted into Minsk State Linguistic University. She will be a teacher of English in 5 years and a translator for our camps. Another girl Sveta is taking exams next week. Please pray for her. She is applying to Trade College to be an accountant. So it is very likely that in September we will have 6 girls at MFH.
