A note from Montenegro
January 4, 2010
A quick note from Christina Melton –
Happy 2010! I just want to let everyone know really quickly that my Christmas and New Year were excellent. I am so thankful that I have people here who care enough to make me feel at home even when I am so far away from my family and friends in the US.
My Montenegrin mom cooked a huge dinner for me for Christmas day, even though people here don’t celebrate on the 25. We had a Christmas tree, and I woke up with a gift next to my face from the whole family: a gorgeous pair of earrings (mine broke) and my favorite candy, Fererro Rocher.
For the New Year, I went to Kotor to visit one of the college girls. We danced and ate and walked around the old medieval town, and arrived back in Podgorica around 5 30 AM.
